If you don't already know I'm an octogenarian, a retired United Methodist clergywoman, and have aged twenty years since the clown nose shot, now you do.
Here's what I like: good conversations; Zebra M-301 0.5mm pen for writing; and trying
to figure out why I can't throw out the ratty feed sack apron that belonged to my
deceased husband's mother.
If you are interested in a good conversation, have a favorite writing utensil, or can
help me divest myself of old, useless things, please let me know.
Little Feet Be Careful, "cuts through the madness of the pandemic, global warming, and conspiracy theory politics to uncover the raw memories and simple truths of life, always with clarity and humor. Nancy Bauer-King's shaman-like exploration of life, death, love, pain, gods and goddesses chronicles her quest to find a new way of navigating in a patriarchal world. Something we could all use."
~Jennifer Rupp (writing as Jennifer Trethewey, author of The Highlanders of Balforss series)
"It takes a deft hand to infuse painful personal stories with humor, but Bauer-King manages to do so with wit and insight. Madness to Ministry is about so much more than one woman’s journey from a psychosis diagnosis to the pulpit; it’s an object lesson for feminists who think our work is done."
~Kim Suhr, Author of Nothing to Lose (Cornerstone Press, 2018) and Director, Red Oak Writing
